Rhona is part of Encapulus Productions - an Edinburgh-based theatre company which aims to create opportunities for those who are underrepresented within the arts. We are a queer identifying company, so we aim to find ways to combat the lack of representation and stereotypes surrounding queer and trans identities. We want to promote equality within the arts.

We are a working-class company and although we’ve faced many barriers we are determined to find a way to reach our goal of producing accessible and inclusive creative opportunities. We currently work on profit share projects and rely on funding to allow us to pay our collaborators. By prioritising creatives, we have fostered great working relationships. We pride ourselves on creating flexible, inclusive, and safe working environments where people feel valued and supported.

Rhona, Lewis and Eilidh met while acting in a show called High Five in the Edinburgh Fringe 2022. Since then, we have become close friends. We connect through the love of theatre, music, dance, and art. We share the same goal – we want to create stories and performances with heart and soul. We have experienced discrimination towards our gender, sexuality, class and neurodiversity. We strive to give a platform to unheard stories and champion voices that are underrepresented in theatre.
