A Day Full of Connection and Character
On Monday the 27th of October, I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Rebecca and Andrew at the beautiful Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort. This is a venue well known for its tranquil setting and excellent fishing - and fishing just so happens to be a huge passion of the groom!
A Personal Touch at a Stunning Venue
We made sure to have a bit of fun with that during the day, capturing a brilliant moment of Andrew being “caught” (in inverted commas!) by his groomsmen - a playful nod to both the venue and something he truly loves. It’s little personal touches like this that really help tell the story of a wedding day.
I was there for the full day, starting with Rebecca’s preparations in a lovely lodge overlooking one of the resort’s lakes, and staying through to after the speeches. The calm surroundings and natural light made for a stunning backdrop throughout the day.
A Wedding Planned with Heart
Incredibly, Rebecca had organised the entire wedding within just a few weeks, and considering the timescale, she did an absolutely marvellous job. Everything came together beautifully, and the relaxed atmosphere helped create some truly special images.
As always, my main focus was on capturing genuine connection and emotion. When guests feel comfortable enough to forget the camera is there and simply enjoy themselves, that’s when the most meaningful photographs happen. Every smile, laugh, and quiet moment felt natural and unforced - exactly how wedding photography should be.
A Day to Remember
Rebecca and Andrew’s wedding was a perfect example of how a day doesn’t need months or years of planning to be meaningful. What really matters is the people, the emotion, and the shared moments - and I’m so glad I was able to capture those memories for them.
