In June 2025, I had the opportunity to work with two of Dundee’s most exciting young creatives, Calum Kelly and Taylor Dyson. As a photographer passionate about showcasing talent through professional headshots, it was a pleasure to host their session at Limelight Studios in Dunfermline.
For this double headshot session, each artist joined me for an hour filled with creative energy, outfit changes, and a variety of backdrops to capture their unique personalities. The goal? To produce images that truly reflect their individual styles and artistic spirit.
Calum was exceptionally relaxed, making the shoot seamless and enjoyable. His confidence shone through, allowing us to focus on capturing natural, compelling portraits. Taylor initially felt a bit nervous, which is completely normal in a professional shoot. To help her relax, I guided her through different prompts and scenarios—encouraging her to mentally immerse herself in different situations. This approach helped her feel more comfortable and brought out her authentic personality on camera.
In the weeks following the session, both Calum and Taylor received and selected their top three images from over 75 shots—images that best represent their current confidence and style.
